P restige is one of the very few Companies that only employ actual nurses and is the only company in the Costa Blanca that is owned and run by a Qualified, Registered Nurse. We as a company take our responsibilities towards our clients and staff seriously and have the criteria of only employing nurses for this ONE very important reason; we need to know that our nurses have the experience and knowledge to deal skilfully and quickly with any given emergency situation!
We are not an agency, our nurse’s work set days/hours, so you know who is coming and when, obviously at times due to sickness and emergencies this can change but we always give a courtesy telephone call to explain in advance.
Through the hard work, dedication and professionalism of the nursing team and because we are Legally Registered and have full medical insurance, we have affiliation with Medimar International Hospital Alicante, among others. This we have achieved in just 18 months of opening for business, for which we count as testament to the calibre of nursing care we offer and is also in-line with the key objectives set by the company for the period 2009-2011.
Prestige Nursing works by deploying small nursing teams, these teams work a given area, so that you the client will have the same members of staff attending your needs and each team is led by a Qualified/Registered nurse, for example Team one covers Benidorm, Altea, Albir, Alfaz, Cala Finestrat and La Nucia, Team two covers Moraira, Benissa, Calpe, Benitachell and Javea and so on.
We will only take new clients if they live with in a 15minute drive maximum of an established team, this is to facilitate our policy of rapid response time for emergency situations that do not require an ambulance or hospital admission but does require immediate nursing assistance.
Another more resent addition to our service provision is our Live-in Care Solutions, this we have started in response to demand from clients wishing to remain in their own homes, but are unable to manage independently due to physical or psychological needs such as Dementia/ Alzheimer's or simply need/want companionship.
Prestige Nursing and Social care Services are dedicated to helping people to continue living in their own homes with greater ease for as long as they so wish. Our services include District Nursing/ Home Nursing, Respite care, Palliative Care, hospital care and or visiting, holiday care, translation services, care of the elderly with mental health needs, medical aftercare, post-operative care, physiotherapy, diagnosis and education information, information on the medical system here in Spain, how it works, what to expect, what you'r entitled to and how to get it. We also provide domiciliary services (Home Help), including companionship, shopping, meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, and carer time out sitting service.
We pride ourselves here at Prestige on our close co-operation with the Salud’s (GP surgeries) and hospitals both state and private. With this collaboration our nursing care team are able to deliver the highest standard of nursing care guaranteed here on the Costa Blanca. We liaise closely with medical personnel to ensure the care you receive and the treatment you undergo is the right choice for you, we assist with translation and explain medical terminology, so that you can make those decisions, we give health education and safety education to minimise potential problems and we have also built effective working relations with the district ayuntamiento (town halls) which enables us to access the social care sector, providing our clients with domiciliary assistance, meals on wheels and on occasions grants for equipment or extra payments for those whom find theirselves in desperate need.
